Supervision, consultation and training for professionals working with children and young people.
Training and Workshops
I have considerable experience of providing generic and bespoke training, consultation and complex case discussion to professionals within the Health, Education and Social Care sectors, at both a local and national level. I draw upon an extensive knowledge base from which I develop and deliver training, focusing on the social, emotional, behavioural, mental health and well being of children.
We know that being a parent is one of the most important jobs in the world and also one of the most challenging. Sometimes we need time to reflect and think about different and new ways to enrich our own and our children’s lives. Drawing upon the latest psychological research, combined with practical strategies, I can offer workshops around:
- Nurturing positive behaviour and emotional well being in children
- Recognising and enhancing you and your child’s strengths
- Understanding your Child’s Behaviour – The Solihull Approach
- Understanding the science of connection and attachment
We know the rewards and challenges that come with delivering the best care and support to children and families we work with. Clinical supervision is an important component to ensuring we have a safe space to reflect on our own resilience and emotional well-being to enable us to continue to provide the most optimum outcomes for those we care for.
As an experienced clinical supervisor of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, CAMHS Clinicians, Health Visitors, Social Workers and other Health, Education and Social Care professionals, I am able to offer clinical supervision, consultation and psychological advice, to individuals and to groups. I am registered as an Applied Psychology Practice Supervisor with the British Psychological Society.
The quality of the supervisory relationship has been shown to be one of the most important factors in the effectiveness of clinical supervision so the collaborative nature of this forms the core of supervision I provide. I can provide supervision at times of transition, reorganisation or in the context of an ongoing supervisory relationship to reflect and enhance your own clinical skills and experience.
